Increment
A virtual reality adventure rated “Very Positive” on Steam that was selected for exhibition internationally: at the New Images XR Fest in Paris and also at the Tokyo Game Show as part of the “Selected Indie 80”. Increment was created entirely by myself, Mark Pilipski.
For this project, I created all the music and SFX using Ableton, and implemented all audio using the Unity Game Engine’s audio system. Songs in the game are arranged in such a way that different parts of the arrangement will play based on the player’s location within a level- levels are set up in circular designs so the player will do “laps” and eventually hear the full song naturally through play.
In addition, I produced and edited various trailers and social media clips to promote the game.
Blocks and Beats
Classic block puzzle gameplay with reactive, synesthetic, pulsing effects that react as you clear line after line.
For this project, I did all game development and audio implementation using FMOD and Unity. Myself and two other audiovisual artists individually created music for the game, and I took the recording stems of those songs and created accompanying SFX and edited the songs to progress dynamically as the player gets further in the levels.
“The Oxus” Dota 2 Music Pack
Submitted to the Steam Workshop for consideration as a Dota 2 Music pack, written and produced to spec for the game, including looping sections and triggerable audio events.
The Gate of Horn opens again, facing westward from the ruins of Samarkand. Channeling their ambient mytho-historical sludge metal style, ragged warriors in enemy territory encounter a river dividing the world.
Candy Cage
You find yourself stuck in a suspended cage with a quiet friend and two strange buttons. Trick or treat?!
All audio created and implemented by me using Ableton and Unity.
Candy Cage is a short, ambient and spooky VR Poem / microgame created my myself in a few days for the "VR with Andrew's Spooky Game Jam".
